Upcoming Albums To Be Featured Here At 24/7 Comedy

We’ve got an exciting array of comedians that will be featured in the coming weeks here at 24/7 Comedy! All of the following comedians have released relatively, if not brand new, material and every single one will either be featured as Comic Of The Week or as our Guest Host. These comedians, in no particular order on the funny scale, include: Doug Benson; Owen Benjamin; Maria Bamford; Kumail Nanjiani; Bob Saget; Moshe Kasher; Kurt Braunohler; and Jim Norton.

Each comedian from this brave bunch has been up to nothing but keeping the laughs coming, and we are beyond grateful they are. For starters, Benson has still kept his grand promise to record a comedy album every April, 20 (with a subsequent summer release date) and has been doing so since his 2009 album Unbalanced Load through his newest album that’s available as of July 8, Gateway Doug.

You may have seen Benson in the 2008 documentary Super High Me, which was a playoff of the famous Morgan Spurlock documentary Super Size Me. In the same manner of Spurlock’s film, Benson spent thirty days without consuming a certain subject, then thirty days with heavy amounts of consumption of the same neglected subject, but instead of fast-food being the centerfold of the experiment, the recreational drug marijuana was used instead. In fact, the whole idea of the documentary/challenge came from one of Benson’s stand up bits (which most of his bits do tend to focus on marijuana). He also has a couple of podcasts, which are called Doug Loves Movies and The Benson Interruption

Owen Benjamin has just come out with his debut comedy album High Five Til It Hurts this July and you can also see him in the TBS series Sullivan & Son. Benjamin is also our featured COTW this week! Maria Bamford has her new album Ask Me About My New God that is set to be released July 16. She sticks to her usual goofy conversationalist approach and makes sure to throw in plenty of wacky voices. You can also see Bamford in the newest season of Arrested Development on Netflix and the web series Ask My Mom.

Kumail Nanjiani has his debut Comedy Central one-hour stand up special Beta Male where he tells you about all the things that terrify him within the horrible reality of being a “beta male”. Nanjiani has been on television shows such as John Oliver’s New York Stand-Up Show, Portlandia, and Franklin & Bash. The clean-cut family-friendly American man Bog Saget, at least that’s what he was on Full House and America’s Funniest Home Videos, also has a new one-hour stand-up special coming out for purchase on July 16 called That’s What I’m Talking About. Saget hasn’t released a special since his 2007 show That Ain’t Right and if his new special is anything like its predecessor, then it’s sure to be an unleashing of the classic crude and crass comedy Saget has always performed on stage.

Ironically, Moshe Kasher also has a brand new album coming out on July 16. He’s recorded a show in Oakland and has simply titled the album Live In Oakland. Kasher last released an album back in 2009, which was his debut Everyone You Know Is Going To Die, and Then You Are! The album was one of the top 20 albums on iTunes and earned Kasher recognition by iTunes when they called him Top New Comedy Artist of 2009.

Kurt Braunohler will be coming out with his debut album How Do I Land? Braunohler apparently completed a $4,000 campaign to hire a professional pilot to skywrite “How Do I Land?” in Southern California, in promotion of the upcoming album. Jim Norton also has his special Please Be Offended and the audio release of the show will be this upcoming August.

So it’s obvious we have a ton of great comedians lined up in the future for you to enjoy and we just couldn’t hold back our excitement for sharing with you, our beloved fans, who they are! You’ll hear all these artists and their brand spank’n new material oh so very soon, but patience young padawan, you must not be anxious, for the comedy will soon fill your unwearied ears.

And with that oddly obscure sentence being said, you can listen for these comedians and many others here on our website, over the air, or by downloading the incredibly awesome iHeartRadio app for your super smart device!
