We pick up the story mere minutes after the last movie. The Muppets finish their closing number and are left with the question of what to do next. In pops Dominic Badguy (Ricky Gervais), a concert promoter and a man on many missions. He persuades the Muppets to hit the road ASAP with Europe and international venues in mind.

Little do the Muppets know that Dominic is second fiddle to the most evil frog in the world; Constantine. Through some backstabbing and horrible acting, Constantine takes the place of Kermit, while Kermit is hauled to Siberian Gulag taking the place of the dastardly mastermind. There he meets familiar inmates with very memorable faces and quite lovely singing voices. Their jailer, a guard named Nadya (Tina Fey), unforgiving and ready to punish any who cross her or her sensibilities.

Odds stacked against them and mostly unaware, The Muppets must find out the truth before its too late and they become wanted criminals.

A fun Muppets movie for sure, with lots of singing and over the top humor. The balance is sometimes off and it has a couple slow points, but for the right fans and the right age groups, this movie will keep you in stiches. (Hand Puppet Pun)
